Our wedding in Playa was the most amazing time of our lives, and we could NOT have done it without Maria & Erica! They worked so hard for us coordinating our welcome party, rehearsal dinner, wedding and reception. Many of our guest commented that the food for all the parties was delicious! Our beach wedding was beautiful. The ceremony was perfect - from the guitarist to the flowers to our first dance on the beach! Maria suggested the most amazing photographers to capture our memories forever. The only small problem was a delay in transportation to the wedding site, but Maria was able to contact another transportation company and resolve the issue quickly. Our guests were amazed, and we all had a spectacular time. My husband and I cannot wait to return to Playa for many anniversaries to come!

A huge thank you to Maria and Weddings in Playa for making our wedding happen and turn out amazing - even during tropical storm Ida! . Maria's attention to detail, connections and vision was essential in helping us plan all of our wedding details all while living in Chicago. We were never worried or concerned about details and felt completely at ease letting Maria handle all of the arrangements and transactions.
Maria managed to move all of our wedding events to alternative locations within the matter of 12 hours. Although we ended up getting married in a different location than we originally planned, the wedding went off without a hitch and our guests loved the back-up location and were amazed that everything came together so seamlessly. Without Maria's connections and ability to delegate and execute, we wouldn't have had a wedding. Maria was available to us the entire weekend helping us figure out alternate options for our wedding that was crashed by rain. We advice any bride considering planning a wedding in the Playa del Carmen area, we highly recommend Maria and Weddings in Playa - as well as always having a "Plan B" for situations out of your control ... like bad weather

Thank you so much for everything!!! I feel like I miss you already. It was the most beautiful day that I have ever had. If you ever need a recommendation, you can send them to me (just be careful b/c my junkmail might filter them out, so give me their email so I can contact them). Honestly, Erica, it was so perfect. When I got out of the carriage I wanted to sit down and cry b/c the set-up was so perfect and everything that I have dreamed of since I was a little girl. Thank you for everything that you did for me, and thanks to Maria, you two were the best in the world. I am so grateful and so happy and I am crying right now. I am a good crier, aren't I? We have decided we will get remarried every five years, so maybe we will see you again soon, if not just for a coffee or a modelo especial.

Hi Erica & Maria,

Thank you so much for everything! We got home late last night, and I
just wanted to send you a quick thank you email. You two ladies are
amazing and did a fantastic job! All our family commented on what a
great job you two did as well. We won't have photos for a least a
month but I'll definitely send you a copy of them all when we receive
them. We'll also put together a testimonial together for you. If
you ever want to use our names/email address to give to potential
clients as a reference please do. I'd be happy to. I don't have a
single negative thing to say about you or your services!

We're already planning to come back to Playa del Carmen within the next 6
months. We fell in love with the area and the people. We came
across some of the nicest people around there. We spent most of the
flight home talking about business opportunities in Playa. If either
of you can think of a product/service that could be a good business
in Playa please let me know. We'd love to start something up there -
employing locals - which would also allow us to spend time there.

We'd love to take you out for lunch or dinner when we're there next.
We'll keep you posted on the dates. I'm going to do a detailed
review of the whole wedding and will send you a copy of it.

 Bill and I would like to thank you and Erica for all that you did to make it such a success.  Lindsay said it was the best night of her life - just what your wedding day should be.   You are both great at what you do!  You were quick to respond to our questions, recommended excellent vendors, kept everything organized and under control.  Everything went without a hitch (well, except that WE forgot the bouquet!), and we all felt that we could relax and enjoy the wedding.  Our guests all had a wonderful time in Playa, and I have no doubt that many will be back.
 
Everyone loved the trip to Tulum, and Susan's Mexican dinner on Friday night was a highlight.  Thank you both again for everything.  We have nothing but wonderful memories of our time in Playa and of Lindsay and Jason's wedding.

We were just recently looking at our wedding photos again and I caught an expression you had on one of them and it was an expression of honest, sincere joy. You are really a very loving person! Sounds like you will continue to be successful with the wedding planning. I can’t imagine dealing with 6 weddings in a short period of time.

In thinking back about our day on the beach. The two things that stand out are : The great job you and Erica did to take care of us and the location and setting. It was so wonderful to have the privacy and attentive service.

Hello Ladies,

Thanks to both of you, we had a beautiful and perfect wedding day!
We arrived home at 3AM this morning.
We were stuck in Atlanta for 6 hrs due to a delayed flight.
It is very cold here and we received about 12 inches of snow this past week.
Quite a contrast to the sand and sun of last week :)

We met with Martha on Monday AM at our Cancun hotel. She is so very sweet. The pictures more than exceeded our expectations!

We will keep in touch.

We just returned from our wedding week in Playa and it was beautiful. I have some information for you regarding the beach club and some attached pictures (November 8), as well.

The food at Blucacao is excellent-we went with the Fish, Beef Fajitas and Chicken Fussili option without a dessert (we had the cupcake "cake" for the guests' dessert). Though I am sure that all of the food is wonderful there, no matter which food option you choose. Just make sure you have place cards for the tables. I didn't do that and it was very confusing for everyone on where to sit. I figured it wouldn't be a big deal since there were only 33 people but make sure you do it anyway. It will help the guests greatly.

We had appetizers prior to the dinner which was great as well. I made sure the stairs to the upper part of the club were closed off due to our party having 33 people and I didn't want everyone to be scattered around the place. This worked great because everyone stayed in a central location. You can see in the pictures how it looked. We chose the International Open Bar option which was nice for the guests to choose what they wanted to drink.

The ambiance at Blucacao is such that you don't need a lot of decoration to make it look elegant. The scenery does most of that already. See the pictures of the decorated tables and you can tell "minimal" really is all that is needed for the decorations. I only wanted the wedding color added (blue) and some candles, etc. I used the chairs from the club. So, no need to order others.

The cake was awesome! My Mother-in-law said the filling was the best she'd ever had! It was the strawberry fondant filling from La Pasteleria.

DJ Martin is a sweetheart! I had a very long list of songs that I wanted to be played but the younger kids decided to change up the music and play current songs (which Martin happily downloaded on the spot and played right away!). He is very flexible and very fun.

The waiters at Blucacao are the best!!!! They were a special part of our "Tequila fest" (as I like to describe it!). Loved them all!

Our wedding ceremony and reception was from 4:00-10:30pm. We had shuttle vans pick us up at 10:30pm and they drove us back to the condos where we all stayed in Playacar. It was smooth as can be!

I hope this information helps you with your planning. Just remember, don't sweat the small stuff. Maria and Erica truly know their stuff and will make sure everything comes together perfectly!

Hi Everyone!!

We just returned for our Caribbean wedding at sea!! It was absolut bliss - we loved every minute of our experience!!

For those that were not informed earlier (due to the necessity of keeping the numbers low to accommodate the boat size - and the short prep period for the wedding - 3 months) this is our wedding announcement - we did it - yippee!!!

For those that decided to come - we are forever grateful!! You made the experience what it was!! What a lovely bouquet of guests!! We love you all. For those unable to attend, you were in our hearts - we love you all!! A big hug goes out to all who sent congratulatory emails, cards (gifts), and made calls - you are beautiful!! Thanks for adding muchos joy to this precious occasion!!

Jill and I are in Ft Lauderdale on our way back to Orlando. We are both truly excited about the upcoming event that you have agreed to assist us with.
